Surname 1 Name Professor’s Name Course Date Research Project Question 1: How many hours do you plan to study per week in this semester? Question 2:

Hello ProfNaff, can you please help me with this question?

Full Instructions: You will need some professional articles to talk about when you write your final paper for this course.  You probably learned the basics of using the library to gain access to the professional literature in your composition courses. If you have forgotten or this was not a part of the courses you took, there are several resources and assignments available to assist you with this process.

Step 1: Familiarize yourself with introduction sections

Read the introduction of 3 psychology academic journal articles related to your approved research topic.  Jot down a few notes about the similarities between each introduction section.  For instance, what is similar about the type of information included/excluded concerning the articles they reference?  When they discuss other scientific articles, how are they discussed?

Doing this will give you an idea of what type of information you should be collecting when reading journal articles about your topic in this class.  When completing step 3 of this assignment, make sure to only summarize relevant points from your articles that will help you create an introduction like the 3 you just read and meet the criteria of the notes you just jotted down.

Step 2: Find your journal articles

Google Scholar (https://scholar.google.com/ (Links to an external site.)) is a great place to start in your search for articles. You can also use this IUE library guide to help you navigate the IUE subscriptions: http://iue.libguides.com/c.php?g=66627&p=431203 (Links to an external site.). Finally, this lecture (Links to an external site.)discusses how to identify and find peer-reviewed articles.

You will eventually need a minimum of 6 sources for your final paper, but you can submit 5 for this assignment (but not less than 5).

When collecting journal articles, make sure to obtain the full-text of these articles (instructions on how to do this are located in the lecture link above).  NEVER pay for the full-text of an article.  Instead, if the full-text is not immediately available, fill out an interlibrary loan request.  ILL requests can take several days to process, therefore, start as soon as you can. Once you have obtained the full-text in pdf or word document, save it to your computer so that you can submit them with your final paper at the end of the semester.

Step 3: Complete the annotated bibliography

There are several types of annotated bibliographies. The one you will be doing for this course will include:

  1. The reference for the item in APA style.
  2. Items in alphabetical order by last name of first author.
  3. A brief summary of relevant points from the article that you might use in your final paper.

Please base it off the research topic assignment that you helped me with a few days ago: https://www.coursehero.com/qa_wait.php?question_id=9077715&c=1

I have attached the research topic assignment that you have helped me with:
